At the conclusion of your representation I will ask if you would like to write a testimonial for this page. As you can see the names are truncated to protect the innocent. Many clients say they will write something, but as is the nature of all things bankruptcy, few follow through. The invitation is always open. Your note appears just as written, so polish up on your grammar.

Thank goodness for that “gut instinct”. I was in the process of a divorce and the need for a good bankruptcy attorney. I went to someone who was recommended in the downtown area. After speaking with him, it didn’t feel right for some reason. I was on a mission to find the perfect match for me and my situation. I did some research on my own. For many good reasons, my search pointed me to William Balena. I had a good feeling about him. First of all, Bill responded to me right away. After meeting with Mr. Balena, I was so relieved to know he was definitely the one who would get the job done, not just done, but done very well. Bill was so personable, caring, genuine, honest, thorough, very knowledgeable and highly experienced. His communication was great. I have worked with many attorneys in the past. To say the least, Bill is definitely a gem. I highly recommend Bill with no hesitation.
As soon as we began the process, my sister (protective) who lives in another state called Bill to inquire about his knowledge as well as all the fees. She is no joke. Bill assured her it was worth every cent, that I was in good hands and would be very satisfied with his services. He was not offended at all. As a matter of fact, he thought it was very nice of her to show concern and make sure her sister was in good hands. Bill did an excellent job from beginning to end. When I saw what goes on during the 341 meeting, I was so proud to have Bill as my attorney and by my side. He was prepared and very confident. Yes indeed, it was worth every cent! Beyond impressing me, he left such a positive impression on my sister that she wanted to know if he practiced in her state!
Funny that even though the outcome was great and we were basically finished with my bankruptcy, I was a little saddened to know that I would not be dealing with Bill again. Thank you so much!

Bill was a real joy to work with. Being the detailed person I am, he was more than willing to answer all of my questions without hesitation, which made me realize that not only is he at the top of his game as an attorney, but also genuinely interested in helping one understand the particulars surrounding their case.
Additionally, he takes a genuine interest in you as a person by taking time in getting to know you a bit despite the short period, which naturally makes one feel comfortable and in turn communications easier for all parties involved – not once did I feel inferior, stupid or embarrassed about my situation or the questions asked. The fact he was so responsive and candid alleviated any concerns on my part as to his integrity as an attorney as well as my confidence in his overall abilities in representing me. Not once was there a loose end, a question gone unanswered, or time spent wondering if (I) chose the right attorney throughout the entire bankruptcy process – Bill was involved every step of the way, which never left me wondering or in doubt.
In all honesty, Bill is truly a rarity in his field and I highly recommend him to anyone seeking legal advice and/or counsel. You will definitely ‘enjoy the experience’ as I did, especially having worked with another attorney who did not have my best interests at heart. (Thanks again Bill!)

When I initially realized that I was in financial trouble, I did a lot of research about my options. When I decided that I really needed a good lawyer, I happened upon the Balena Law Firm web site. I took a chance and made the call. Once I met with Bill and discussed my situation, I had instant relief. I knew I had made the right decision in contacting him. When we went to court in Cleveland, I heard other “lawyers” speaking with their clients. They didn’t know a THING about them! The “lawyers” had other people that did all the paperwork for them and they only met their client IN COURT!! It was SO reassuring to know that there weren’t going to be any surprises with Bill. He knew exactly what my financial issues were and was willing to help me solve them. I am now almost a year into a Chapter 13 and I am still able to call the office when a question pops up that I’m not sure about. It is wonderful to know that Bill isn’t just there for the payment, he’s there to help you reach your goals!!
